This year, XOX, the snack specialist from Lower Saxony is setting the course for the future.
XOX is strongly investing in its own location in Hameln to grow further. Thus the construction of a new production facility started on the 1st April to increase the capacities for snack products.
With the introduction of the so-called ready-to-eat popcorn, XOX strengthens its position as a full product range supplier in the german market. Another important snack sector is the nut segment. This category is growing further with a turnover of +6% according to Nielsen. This does not come unexpected because nuts are serving several trends at the same time. One the one hand, they are the perfect snack for the occasion. On the other hand, the wish for healthy snacks is growing. That is why XOX immediately introduced several small packets in the nut segment at the beginning of the year. XOX’s nuts have its origins in the best cultivation areas of the world.
Stefan Hund is already glad about the first success in the new segment: “We have already excelled the planned quantity for 2016 and will provide additional capacities.”
“During the last years, we were able to develop our growth even further and I am happy that we have set the course for the future”, Edmund E. Besecke announces.
“Meanwhile, we are exporting to about 60 countries. Above all, foreign customers appreciate the connection of the traditional brand XOX with the innovative products. German product quality – made in Germany – is still the decisive argument”, Stefan Hund adds.
XOX products have been honoured with gold medals of the DLG for long-standing product quality many years in a row. Besides, XOX is UTZ-, RSPO- and Halal-certified.
A voluntary, independent certification on the subject of industrial safety will also take place this year.
