XOX at the Sweets & Snacks Expo in Indianapolis

From May 13 to 15, XOX participated in the Sweets & Snacks Expo in Indianapolis – the leading trade fair for confectionery and snack products in North America – with its own booth.

The event was a great success: with 1,016 exhibitors, the expo set a new record.

Especially encouraging was the 25% increase in approved trade visitors compared to the previous year. This made the expo an ideal platform for intensive exchanges with existing and new retail partners – primarily from the USA, but also from Canada, Mexico, and other Central and South American countries.

“The American market is the largest in the world for snack products. It’s important that we offer XOX items there that stand out from the existing range,” emphasized Stefan Hund, Managing Director of XOX.

Four products attracted particular interest:

  • XOX Hot Dogs Snack

  • XOX Fries Ketchup

  • XOX Bacon

  • XOX Donut Rings

The products impressed not only with their taste but also with eye-catching designs that meet the needs of the North American retail market.

Export Manager Franziska Dortschy looks ahead with optimism:
“We are excited to begin working with our partner in just a few weeks and to ship the first container to the U.S. The selected items were already very well received by visitors at the expo.”

A special focus was also placed on exchanges with new prospects from Mexico, which saw a remarkable 35% increase in visitors. Canada was somewhat more reserved this year with a 20% decline, but promising contacts were still made.

With this successful debut, XOX has laid the foundation for a long-term presence in the North American market – and is already looking forward with anticipation to consumer demand.
